Blog: Church Says Scientologists Don't Have to Buy New ACC Lectures - 2010-01-09
Well, that's what they are saying. No kidding. I wouldn't have believed it either, but there it was in black and white - in the New York Times.
The article, an Associated Press release, announces that "More than 1,000 unreleased recordings of lectures by L. Ron Hubbard and reams of corresponding writings have been unveiled in the culmination of a 25-year project to locate, restore and transcribe lost pieces of the Scientology founder's work."
These, of course, are the ACC Lectures released at New Years – lectures LRH gave during advanced auditor courses in the 1950s and 60s. They are, most of them, highly technical instructions for auditors. Yet in this press release, the Church insists that they are "for everyone" – Scientologists at all levels and even those outside the Church. Really? Good luck to any non-Scientologist trying to understand instructional lectures to advanced auditors. But regardless, there they are – available to "everyone."
