A school that bases its curriculum on the teachings of Church of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard has opened in the former Skycrest Christian School.

The True School recently moved to the Skycrest buildings at 1835 Drew St. from its previous location at 611 S Greenwood Ave., south of downtown.

A sign at the entrance to the campus describes it as a private, non-denominational school, open to students from preschool to high school age.

Sherry Payson, spokeswoman for the school, said about 90 students are currently attending.
