Comments from the public hearing will he reviewed by the Mental Health Board at a meeting Oct. 18 in Norman, at which time it could grant Narconon provisional certification.

Certification is needed before the state Health Department can license the center.

Narconon accepted 25 patients in February and continued to operate without certification. A Kay County district judge ruled Sept. 7, about a week after Narconon formally applied for certification, that it could continue to operate without taking new patients.
