Hearing on Center Delayed - 1990-08-14
NEWKIRK (AP) A hearing in which the state of Oklahoma will seek a temporary injunction against a drug treatment center operated by Narconon has been delayed until Sept. 7, officials said Monday. The hearing had been scheduled for today in Kay County District Court. District Attorney Joe Wideman claims the Chilocco New Life Center is treating patients without a state license. Narconon officials have said they intend to seek state certification, although they claim certification is not required because the center is on Indian trust land.
