An unusually conciliatory Jason Kenney stepped up to the podium Monday to address the new multibillion dollar hole in his budget; a fresh wound gouged out by crashing oil prices, a global price war and fallout from coronavirus.

"All options will be on the table, I repeat, all options will be on the table to do everything that we can in our capacity to help protect jobs and Albertans," the Alberta premier told media assembled in Calgary.

"We are in uncharted territory."
