On March 27, Inglewood police officers shot and killed a mixed-race man named Brian Statler they claimed "opened fire" on them while wielding a sword at Scientology's Inglewood "Ideal Org" in Southern California.

Nearly a year later, we're still waiting for authorities to release even the most basic information about the incident besides Statler's name and age, 30. Such as, why did Statler pull up to the org in a new white Bentley automobile with dealer plates? Did he really arrive with a "samurai sword," as news reports had it, or did he pull a sword off the wall at the org, where an "Excalibur" sword was displayed?

Also, if Statler was wielding a sword, how did he "open fire," injuring the two police officers who killed him with gunshots? Did the police actually shoot each other in a cross-fire incident? And what was Statler doing that required shooting him dead?
