Scientology's David Miscavige served again: This time in a sick case alleging child abuse - 2019-11-14
A national legal team headed by Philadelphia-based attorneys Brian Kent and Marci Hamilton have filed lawsuits against Miscavige on behalf of Leah Remini's assistant Valerie Haney in Los Angeles, on behalf of four women who allege that they were violently raped by Scientology actor Danny Masterson also in Los Angeles, and in the third lawsuit on behalf of a woman referred to as Jane Doe who alleges that she was sexually abused as a child at multiple Scientology or Scientology-affiliated facilities, and that her abuse was covered up in a conspiracy headed by Miscavige. That third lawsuit was filed in Miami-Dade County circuit court on Sept 18.
According to the court record, substitute service was used to serve Miscavige in the Miami Jane Doe lawsuit on October 29 at his 6331 Hollywood Boulevard address (the Hollywood Guarantee Building, where the church's highest officials have offices on the 11th floor) and the document says that he has 20 days from that date to respond to the court in writing. Records show that the other four defendants have also been served: The Church of Scientology International, the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization (FSO), the Religious Technology Center, and the private school Clearwater Academy.
