Angry ex-members of the Church of Scientology staged a protest outside the Surry Hills headquarters on Saturday, calling for the organisation's tax-exempt status to be revoked.

Spurred on by Senator Nick Xenophon's latest focus on Scientology in the Federal Parliament, the protestors accused the organisation of drawing in vulnerable young people, taking their money, then making it hard for them to leave by threatening to release damaging personal details.
