A New York private eye who pleaded guilty earlier this year to hacking into about 60 e-mail accounts is scheduled to be sentenced in Manhattan federal court on Friday — but at least one victim will ask the sentencing judge to halt the proceeding until the identities of those who hired the defendant are learned.

Eric Saldarriaga, a private investigator from Queens who worked for a number of local law firms, could receive up to a six-month jail term when sentenced by Judge Richard Sullivan.
