Who in President Trump's Orbit Has Tested Positive for COVID-19? - 2020-10-06
As many as 23 people in and around President Trump's orbit have contracted the coronavirus since Friday when he announced his COVID-19 diagnosis. The virus apparently spread through the White House and cases have been confirmed in Congress and at the Pentagon. Despite the widening circle of infection, the White House reportedly decided not to ask the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help "contact-trace" who else may be infected. Scrutiny has focused on a Sept. 26 White House event for Supreme Court justice nominee Amy Coney Barrett where scores of the infected were seen mingling indoors without wearing masks. Below, a running list of who in President Trump's orbit has tested positive so far.
Internal FEMA memo: 34 people infected in the White House cluster
According to ABC News, an internal memo distributed among senior FEMA leadership on Wednesday indicated that the White House outbreak "has infected '34 White House staffers and other contacts' in recent days." It is not clear what people are or are not included in that group, or who the "other contacts" are, but it's the largest known official tally from anyone in the Trump administration thus far.
