Twenty five years ago today, David Miscavige made his one and only live network television appearance.

Miscavige gave a 90-minute live interview on ABC's Nightline program which has become so legendary, many people assume it's the only interview the Scientology leader has ever given in the 31 years since he took over the organization. In fact, he taped another interview a few years later (portions of which were used in Alex Gibney's 2015 film Going Clear), and he gave a print interview in 1998 to the Tampa Bay Times.

But since then, Miscavige hasn't talked to the press at all.
