If Scientology forced your children to disconnect from you, what would you do? - 2020-01-08

On Saturday, we posted Skip Young's update about how he tried to defy Scientology disconnection by flying across the country to see his two grown daughters. It didn't go well. We got a couple of interesting responses to that, and we wanted you to see this one today. It was submitted by Phil Jones, a pretty familiar name around here.

In 2013 Willie and I were still under the radar (That means not in agreement with Scientology but not saying anything so as not to lose our kids).

During that time our son Mike, who is in the Sea Org, was in Clearwater in October setting up the big tent for the IAS event. I went down to see him pretty much every day and brought him coffee. We'd sit and chat in the car and on one of those days we drove to the beach for lunch. It was the most interaction we'd had in years.
