Videos capture Scientology's bizarre ideas about Clearwater election and Mark Bunker - 2020-03-01
Clearwater is holding an election on March 17 for mayor and two city council seats. Scientology is worried that critic Mark Bunker might win seat 2 on the council and is supporting his opponent Eliseo Santana Jr., an army veteran and retired worker for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Santana is not affiliated with the church.
Enter Ryan Prescott to help ensure Bunker doesn't win. The California native is now based in Portland and works as a Volunteer Minister on Scientology's disaster response efforts. He's a second generation Scientologist whose name is on self-published books that attack former members Mike Rinder, Leah Remini, Amy Scobee and others. From their tables of contents it is clear that Prescott has merely re-written Scientology's "dead agent" packs on these individuals.
In this video Prescott announces his coming to Clearwater to help mayoral candidate Frank Hibbard and to defeat Mark Bunker. Sadly for him, Hibbard and Bunker are running in separate races. Prescott also attacks mayoral candidate Elizabeth "Sea Turtle" Drayer, a retired attorney and former EPA employee. Attempts to reach Drayer were unsuccessful, but we received a response from Mark Bunker on the video.
