The Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room is the meeting room of the United Nations Human Rights Council, in the Palace of Nations in Geneva.

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is a United Nations System inter-governmental body responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the world.[1] Its 47 seats are filled by member states elected for three-year terms.

The UNHRC is the successor to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR, herein CHR), and is a subsidiary body of the UN General Assembly. The council works closely with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and engages the United Nations' special procedures.
