The Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance (OCRT) is a group in Kingston, Ontario dedicated to the promotion of religious tolerance through their website.
On the topic of Scientology, the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance site is rather problematic, and has had serious conflict of interest problems. Note that OCRT is not considered a Reliable Source and should never be cited for their opinion.
Scientology controversy
Some controversy concerning the site is related to its presentation of the Church of Scientology. Al Buttnor was listed as author or co-author of almost all the site's articles on Scientology. Buttnor was the Director of Public Affairs and Human Rights for the Church of Scientology Toronto.[1] On one page where Robinson is listed as the author,[2] most of the text is identical with a Church of Scientology site.[3] The site has also been criticised for omitting to mention controversial incidents connected with the Church of Scientology, such as the FDA's raid on Scientology offices, the theft of government documents, and the Church's regular use of lawsuits.[4]
OCRT continues to block display of archived versions of their site by archive.org.
