Classical liberalism

Opinion

The Wikipedia article on Classical liberalism goes to great length defining it, but has a curious blind spot: Who created the current usage of the term, where and when?

The first use of the term classical liberalism in its current meaning seems to be by Friedrich Hayek in his 1944 book The Road to Serfdom, with a later clarification in 1956 defining what he meant by the term.
