Ian Haworth is a co-founder of COMA (Council on Mind Abuse) in Toronto, Canada.[1]
In 1987 he returned to Britain, and founded the Cult Information Centre, an anti-cult organization where he is currently General Secretary. He gives a veriety of talks, media interviews, and information to callers about the dangers of "mind control" techniques used by a veriety of religious and non-religious groups.[2]
Howarth was interviewed as an "'expert'" by the UK home secretary Michael Howard when Sun Myung Moon was banned from Britain in 1995.[3]
Haworth was made bankrupt after he was pursued by a Canadian organisation in the mid-1990s. [4]
