IRWINDALE, Calif., June 7 (UPI) -- A Church of Scientology ad has been spotted on a NASCAR vehicle in Southern California.

The No. 27 red "DIANETICS" Taurus -- decorated with the volcano from the cover of L. Ron Hubbard's book of the same name -- showed up at California's Irwindale Speedway, the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer reported Wednesday.

A NASCAR spokesman told the newspaper while the car has "generated a lot of interest in the past few days ... It's not really something we want to comment on."
