Sentencing delayed in Scientology trial August 15, 1992,
Crown attorney James Stewart has asked Mr. Justice James Southey to impose a fine of "at least" $1 million after the church and three former members were convicted of spying on police and the government during the mid-1970s.
Stewart suggested jail terms of six months for church "case officer" Jacqueline Matz and of 30 to 90 days for Scientology "plants" Janice Wheeler and Donald Whitmore.
