Survival Insurance might not survive Quackenbush June 20, 1999,
The Department of Insurance took legal action Tuesday to shut down Survival Insurance Inc., which has approximately 20 offices statewide, including a small Watt Avenue office.
The state says Survival, an L.A. firm, has pulled a bait-and-switch on hundreds of customers. It is the second action taken against CEO Richard Acunto since 1996.
