The Church of Scientology International (CSI) is the current "mother church" organization that nominally controls the Continental Liaison Offices and through them, the various Orgs world-wide, as well as other sub-organizations.

There are various control structures that are supposed to direct CSI, but the de facto control is by David Miscavige through the Religious Technology Center.

The previous central organization was the Church of Scientology of California. The control and assets were transferred to CSI. The court ruled that this was merely a name-change in an attempt to avoid paying the judgement against them in a lawsuit by Lawrence Wollersheim.
